We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting and Analysis Specialist to join our Finance team at Octopus Energy Group. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified or near-qualified Chartered Accountant to utilise their technical expertise and analytical skills to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial performance.
  • Analyse and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances, and commercial opportunities, providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, streamline finance operations, and enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements:
  • Qualified or near-qualified Chartered Accountant with advanced excel skills and experience in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FRS102 and IFRS accounting standards, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks, and meeting deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting and analysis, with excellent technical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively. In return, we offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional development.
