Job Title: Health and Safety/CDM Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety/CDM Consultant to join our team at People Group. As a key member of our H&S division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients and their employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with the responsibilities of the principal designer under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
  • Inform and assist clients in discharging their duties at each stage of the process under CDM 2015.
  • Conduct site visits and initial appraisals to identify existing hazards and site restrictions.
  • Attend design team meetings, workshops, and project progress meetings.
  • Establish and maintain design risk registers and conduct CDM design reviews/workshops.
  • Assist designers in designing out risk and maintaining design risk registers.
  • Prepare RIBA Stage CDM/Principal Designer reports.
  • Advise and assist clients in appointing designers and contractors.
  • Prepare and issue Pre-Construction Information.
  • Submit F10 Notifications to the HSE and review Construction Phase Plans prior to works starting on site.
  • Conduct site inspections during the construction phase to monitor compliance.
  • Undertake site H&S inspections and report writing.
  • Assist with writing risk assessments and safe systems of work for clients.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 18 months' experience in a similar role.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
  • Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM, or similar professional body.
  • Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
