Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Leader to join our multidisciplinary team as a Liaison Psychiatry Consultant. As a key member of our community care team, you will be responsible for providing specialist assessment and care planning in conjunction with service users and carers. This role involves evaluating treatment plans, undertaking discharge planning, responding to wards within 24 hours of referral, and triaging and assessing referrals received by the service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist assessment and care planning in conjunction with service users and carers
  • Evaluate treatment plans and undertake discharge planning
  • Respond to wards within 24 hours of referral
  • Triage and assess referrals received by the service in liaison with multi-disciplinary colleagues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A medical degree (MB BS or equivalent) and MRCPsych qualification
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
  • Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register with CCT or CESR in general adult psychiatry
  • Approved clinician status and S12 approval
