About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fabric Maintenance Specialist to join our team at PRS, a leading specialist recruitment consultancy in the Building Services sector.

This is a permanent position paying an estimated £30,000 per annum, based on 40 hours per week plus overtime. You will also receive 24 days holiday plus statutory holidays, training and development opportunities, life cover, and shopping discount schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out various manual and skilled tasks, including PPM and reactive repairs to fabric building maintenance, basic joinery, patch plastering, painting, and wet plumbing.
  • Perform general handyperson duties, such as small works repairs, contractor escort duties, and room changes.
  • Conduct compliance checks, including tap temperatures, anti-legionella tasks, emergency lighting checks, and fire door checks.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in fabric maintenance and/or general trades, such as plumbing. You must be presentable, articulate, and able to work closely with staff at all levels. Experience of commercial buildings and maintenance operations is also essential.

Ideally, you should have L8 anti-legionella training or experience, as well as familiarity with completing compliance checks, such as tap temperatures and emergency lighting checks.
