We have an exciting opportunity for an Estimating and Sourcing Expert to join our team at BAM UK & I in the Ventures segment. This full-time role involves a mix of remote and office work, with occasional travel. As an Estimating and Sourcing Expert, you will play a crucial role in supporting estimating, category management, and supply chain development, while engaging with various teams. Key responsibilities include sourcing, specification definition, and financial checks.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to estimating in tender exercises, identify effective sourcing routes, and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Support BAM UK&I category management, including departmental growth and supply chain development.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to enhance buying processes and train staff accordingly.
  • Develop the Constructionline supply chain.
  • Perform financial and compliance checks on the supply chain.
  • Manage supply relationships and develop them with Operations, Commercial, and Estimating teams.
  • Support the business with performance, financial, and supply issues.
  • Engage with H&S, Sustainability & Social Value teams.
  • Support the Prompt Payment Group.
  • Support Project mobilisations.

Requirements:

  • CIPS qualified or studying towards it.
  • Previous experience in a Civil Engineering or Construction related field is desirable.
  • Driving licence preferred.
  • Team player.
  • Knowledge of BAM culture would be an advantage.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work on their own initiative.
  • Good confident communicator.
  • Competent with IT and open to supporting new systems.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings throughout the UK.
