About This Role

At Copeland, we are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in the assembly and configuration of gas analyzers. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the mechanical configuration of base unit analyzers, installation of electronic components, and creation of controlled documentation packs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical configuration of base unit analyzers for first article testing, engineering analyzers for method development testing/prototyping, and customer analyzers returned for re-configuration.
  • Install electronic components following ESD Safety guidelines.
  • Manufacture and install pipework.
  • Assemble and wire electrical cabling.
  • Creation of controlled documentation packs.
  • Maintenance and repair of in-house and customer returned analyzers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have the ability to efficiently and accurately handle complex tasks, adjust communication content and style to meet the needs of our diverse collaborators, and work in a target-driven environment.

  • IT skills, specifically Office.
  • Ability to take a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Customer Service experience.
  • Ability to work to customer-specific drawings and diagrams.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • HNC/HND or equivalent experience in science or technical subject, with practical manufacturing experience and/or experience of analytical instrumentation.
Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with ATEX principles is a plus.
