Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer

Recruit Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer to join our compliance division. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical systems.

  • Conduct thorough electrical inspections and tests for clients, identifying potential issues and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Deliver detailed and accurate technical reports, highlighting key findings and areas for attention.
  • Implement continuous improvement measures, driving efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
  • Resolve technical and non-technical issues promptly, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Promote efficient working practices within the team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Required Experience/Skills:
  • Experience in thermography and emergency lighting system inspections, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Familiarity with various electrical systems and equipment, including modern test equipment and BS7671 standards.
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) qualification, demonstrating a high level of technical expertise.
  • Strong understanding of technical terminology, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Adaptability to various environments and client needs, with a flexible and proactive approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mobile device technology, with a strong understanding of digital tools and platforms.
  • Preferred but not essential: knowledge of the electrical engineering industry, fault finding experience, and ISO standards.
