Class 1 Shunting Driver Job Opportunity

Driver Hire Southampton is seeking experienced Class 1 drivers to join our team on an ad hoc basis at the Southampton docks. If you're a skilled driver looking for flexible work opportunities, this could be the perfect fit for you.

About the Role:
  • Position: Class 1 Shunting Driver
  • Location: Southampton docks
  • Schedule: Monday to Saturday, day shifts only
  • Shift Hours: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm (12-hour shifts)
  • Contract: Ad hoc basis (0 hours contract) - work as much or as little as you like
  • Duties: Shunting containers within the docks; training provided
Requirements:
  • Licence: Full and valid Class 1 licence
  • Certifications: Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
  • Essential: DP World Card
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience, with at least 3 months of container work preferred
  • Skills: Strong timekeeping and communication skills
  • Transport: Own transport for commuting is desirable
