About the Role

DP World Logistics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving our sales process, reviewing inbound leads, building a strong sales pipeline, and ensuring potential customers are a good fit for our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business development by identifying, researching, and qualifying new leads.
  • Ensure that sales qualified leads (SQLs) are converting to opportunities and supporting sales pipeline growth.
  • Build sales pipeline growth via high volume of outbound cold calls, emails, and social selling.
  • Meet client needs through assessing their current fulfillment setup and using discretionary judgment to assess if they are a fit for our business model.
  • Provide adjustment recommendations to customer, where our processes do not "fit the box" on their end.
  • Lead demos with potential customers and Onboarding Managers.
  • Drive daily activity requirements through outbound merchant contact and accurately tracking customer interactions in the designated customer relationship management (CRM) tool.
  • Explore opportunities for improvement across sales operations and make recommendations to executive leadership for streamlining process.
  • Consistently exceeding monthly and annual quota.
  • Strong understanding of company products and services and knowledge about the ones offered by the competition.
  • Keep up with the latest industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years successful experience as BDM in a related industry. Efficiency in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients. Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills: Ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships. Strong negotiator with confidence in closing business deals.
  • Market knowledge: Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion. Exceptional ability to analyse market trends and competitor behaviour.
  • E-commerce savviness: Exceptional knowledge and understanding of e-commerce fulfillment and small and medium-sized market (SME).
  • Expertise: Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies and brand building. Excellent ability to analyse market trends and competitive behaviour.
  • Self-motivation and proactivity: Self-motivated and willing to proactively contribute to the design and further development of the position.
  • Place of residence: Ideally based in the Midlands and willing to travel around the UK for face-to-face meetings.
