About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Social Worker to join our team as a Supervising Social Worker. As a key member of our fostering services team, you will be responsible for providing direct support to foster parents, ensuring their compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting the welfare of children in our care.

This is a demanding position that requires strong communication skills, a commitment to high-quality practice, and the ability to work in partnership with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals. Responsibilities
  • Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents, enabling and monitoring their practice and ensuring their compliance with regulatory standards
  • Work in partnership with children, young people, and foster parents, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure full participation in assessment, planning, review, and decision making relating to safeguarding and child protection
  • Recruit, train, and supervise foster parents, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality care to children in our care
Requirements
  • Hold a Social Care England recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent
  • Have previous experience of family placement work and foster care practice, including the assessment of potential foster parents
  • Have a comprehensive working knowledge of all fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation
  • Have excellent communication skills and a commitment to high-quality practice
