Job Summary

We are seeking a Support Assistant to join our team at our Learning Disabilities Service in Telford. The role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities.

Your Role

As a Support Assistant, you will provide a high-quality, hands-on support service to our customers with learning disabilities. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to encourage daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and community participation
  • Encouraging social inclusion and building confidence, resilience, and self-esteem
  • Maintaining a safe environment for customers and providing support in accordance with regulations, procedures, and practices

Requirements

  • A caring, approachable nature and a confident attitude
  • Ability to keep accurate records and communicate relevant information
  • Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships
  • Experience of working as a team member

Salary Information

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £20,000-£25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
