About the Opportunity
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Nurse Practitioner to join their Pre-Assessment team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the care needs of patients and planning programmes of care, implementation, and evaluation without direct supervision. This autonomous role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients to plan their surgical journey, ensuring they are safe to undergo surgery and anaesthesia.
We understand that taking on a new challenge can be daunting, which is why we offer comprehensive support and induction processes to help you settle into your new role. Our team is led by senior Sisters and a Lead Nurse, providing guidance and mentorship as you develop in your position.
A significant aspect of this role is the ability to take ownership of patient care and clinic caseloads. You will action investigation results to ensure patients are fit for surgery, and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve high standards of care.
