Smart Environmental Support Solutions is seeking a Technical Account Manager to join our team in Ipswich. As a Technical Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff rotas, sickness, and holiday, as well as recruiting and managing a pool of candidates to ensure the plant is fully staffed at all times.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a recruitment background, working knowledge of Health & Safety at work, and an understanding of waste and recycling collection operations. You will be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills, excellent English, both spoken and written, and a very good level of numeracy.

As a Technical Account Manager, you will become an expert in the sector, learning all aspects of the business and enabling you to recruit, train, and support the best workforce for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fully understand client needs and maintain compliance with KPIs and company policies.
  • Monitoring of employee performance, in particular pick rates, Health and Safety, and general conduct.
  • Drive continuous improvement in pick rates, screen cleaning, and housekeeping tasks.
  • Able to identify changes in material quality and react accordingly to ensure that quality and production is not compromised.
  • Able to manage and deal with non-compliance and breaches of Health and Safety on shift.
  • Ensure that site Health, Safety, and Environmental standards (including housekeeping) are maintained to a high standard.
