Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Logistics Manager to join our team at Motorsport Network. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective inbound flow of materials to our production centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Logistics Quality: Accountability for all aspects of supplier logistics quality, ensuring the efficient and effective inbound flow of material to the McLaren Production Centre.
  • Supply Chain Risk Management: Ability to represent supply chain risks and opportunities at internal management reviews.
  • Inventory Optimization: Using MRP (SAP) to balance demand and supply, creating a delivery plan that satisfies the combined requirements of production, development, and any other sources, keeping inventory within approved limits. Reduce obsolescence and inventory holding to company targets.
  • Supplier Onboarding: Working with onboarding suppliers, including supply chain loop and packaging requirement calculations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Adopting an approach of continuous improvement for both internal processes and supplier logistics quality with your suppliers.
  • MRP Parameter Management: Owning and managing MRP parameter data to deliver the correct inventory levels and stability to McLaren's Operations.
  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Understanding of Automotive OEM supply chains and supplier manufacturing processes.
  • Relationship Building: Highly developed relationship building skills.
  • Technical Skills: Experience of working with MRP and/or SAP is desirable. Strong Excel and data interpretation skills. Comprehensive grasp of planning principles and objectives.
