Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to provide flexible and individualized care packages to our young people. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be part of a supportive and collaborative team that recognizes the importance of providing a stable and comfortable home environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide experience-based care and support to children and young people with complex needs
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with young people, promoting their emotional and social well-being
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy living environment, adhering to health and safety protocols

Requirements

  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential care setting
  • Understanding of the issues facing young people in care, including emotional behavioral difficulties and social and emotional mental health needs
  • Flexibility to work a 7-day rotation, including sleep-ins and on-call duties
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality care and support
  • Hold a relevant qualification in residential childcare or a related field (e.g., Diploma in Residential Childcare, NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care)
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people and colleagues
