Job Title: Distribution Shift Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Distribution Shift Manager to join our Transport Team at Fresh Direct in Dagenham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating our 70 driver colleagues and a small team of administrators on the day shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Transport Manager in leading the Transport Team and ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet and workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies, including CPC management and working time directives.
  • Act as a customer-facing representative, resolving issues and maintaining our reliable reputation.
  • Lead by example, setting and maintaining standards in service, health, safety, and compliance.
  • Manage costs and ensure they are in line with budgetary requirements.

Requirements:

  • Management CPC desirable.
  • Strong understanding of transport compliance and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
