Job Title: Materials Engineer for Aerospace Industry

Smart4Chemicals is seeking a highly skilled Materials Engineer to join their team in the Denbighshire area. This role involves developing and leading test programs for qualification or screening of composite materials for aerospace applications.

This position requires significant experience working with composite materials in industry, as well as a degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the Aerospace industry and possess Six-Sigma certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the qualifications team in scrutinizing unexpected results to eliminate errors and improve procedures.
  • Develop and lead test programs for the qualification of composites materials, including prepregs for Aerospace applications.
  • Manage projects efficiently within strict timeframes and negotiate plans for specific projects within the team.
  • Anticipate risks, future challenges, and opportunities for improvement, making recommendations within the team and wider business.
  • Contribute to team development through coaching junior engineers.

The estimated salary for this position is £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
