SEN Tutor

JDS Tuition Services is a leading provider of educational services, dedicated to supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential through personalized learning and support.

We are seeking passionate and dedicated SEN/SEMH Tutors with PGCE or QTS qualifications to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction and support, helping students overcome learning barriers and achieve their academic goals.

• Conduct personalized tutoring sessions tailored to the needs of students with SEN/SEMH, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
• Develop and implement customized learning plans in collaboration with educational professionals and parents.
• Provide emotional and social support to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, keeping detailed records and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to student development.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated with best practices in SEN/SEMH education.

• PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) / QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or experience within a similar role.
• Proven experience working with SEN/SEMH students.
• Strong understanding of various SEN/SEMH conditions and effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, empathetic, and genuinely passionate about supporting students with special educational needs.
• Ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to adapt to the diverse needs of students.
