Materials Handler

We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Forklift Truck Driver to join our clients based in Bedford on a permanent basis.

• Assist all Forklift Operations on shift and packing when required.
• Ensure that goods are moved to the correct locations, maintaining Health and Safety regulations.
• Adhere to housekeeping procedures and ensure all goods are moved, stacked, maintained, and secured to company and client standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and follow all packaging codes and format.
• Diagnose and report faults on all packaging machinery.
• Work towards daily production targets.
• Maintain clean and hygienic working areas at all times.
• Remove completed pallets from Production Lines and load trucks when necessary via the forklift truck.
• Follow all relevant procedures and policies.
• Complete stitcher checks.
• Maintain traceability via the scanning system.
• Adhere to good Health & Safety working practices at all times.
• Label and wrap completed pallets.
• Pack on lines as and when required.
• Ensure products are formatted correctly with correct labels and delivery codes etc.
• Maintain safe and neatly packed packaging according to customer requirements.
• Maintain adherence to Health & Safety practices.

Qualifications:

• In-date valid FLT Licence (Ideally Counterbalance).

Working Hours:

4 on 4 off rotating days and nights. £30,260.96 per annum.
