About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join our dynamic team at a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school. The ideal candidate will be strong, committed, and passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all students in Key Stage 1.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love of learning and supports the social and emotional well-being of all students.
  • Assess, record, and report on the progress and development of students, ensuring that each child is reaching their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to create a cohesive and supportive learning experience for students.
  • Implement and maintain effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching practices and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably in Key Stage 1.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
  • An inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
