About the Job

This Computer Science Teacher role is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school in Milton Keynes. The school is seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility to teach Key Stage 5 based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching: Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Lesson Planning: Develop and implement lesson plans that are tailored to the needs of each student.
  • Assessment & Progress Tracking: Monitor and report on student progress in line with school policies.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the Computer Science curriculum.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: QTS or equivalent, plus a degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related field
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching Computer Science at KS3 and KS4 levels
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment: Willingness to contribute to the school's wider goals and the growth of the Computer Science department

Salary and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary in line with the MPS/UPS scale, with TLR potential for candidates who demonstrate leadership capabilities and are interested in additional responsibilities. The estimated salary range for this position is £45,000 - £65,000 per annum.
