Job Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Location: Wakefield, WF17

Salary: per day, depending upon experience

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support schools in the Pontefract area. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the educational success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to students
  • Lead and manage a class, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to achieve educational goals
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, incorporating a range of teaching methods
  • Assess and record student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance

Requirements:

  • Experience in teaching and leading a class
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work with children at Primary age
  • Willingness to travel to various school locations
  • Hold a child enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
  • Able to provide at least two references covering the last 24 months of employment
