Job Summary

The Control Systems Specialist will be responsible for creating control databases, graphic screens, and setting up control systems based on project specifications and/or sales proposals. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create programming logic using flow diagrams, sequences of operation, panel layouts, termination details, and project specifications or sales proposals.
  • Program control applications using various software tools to support operator workstations, DDC field panels, and third-party integration devices connected through multiple communications protocols.
  • Perform job site system checkout, commissioning, and testing of control applications to verify proper operation according to project specifications, sales proposals, and design documentation.
  • Develop system graphic displays according to project specifications or sales proposals.
  • Deliver on-site customer operator training on the use of the installed system.
  • Perform system analysis and diagnostics.
  • Coordinate system installation with installing contractors at job sites as required.
  • Responsible for completing assigned projects according to project schedules and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HVAC, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Thorough knowledge of the use, setup, and operation of Windows-based computers and desktop applications such as MS-Word and MS-Excel.
  • Flexibility with schedule, including working some nights and holidays when requested.
  • Willingness to travel, including some overnights.
  • Tridium Niagara training preferable.
