About the Role

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a highly skilled Tissue Viability Nurse to join our team at Lister Street, University Hospital Crosshouse. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on wound management to practitioners across various services within our health and partnership services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver multifaceted education programs for health and social care staff on wound types and treatments, with a focus on pressure ulcer prevention and management, and leg ulcer assessment and management.
  • Provide expert advice on wound management to practitioners across various services.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement effective wound management strategies.
Requirements
  • First-level registration with post-registration experience.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Post-basic qualification/portfolio of evidence in Tissue Viability and experience in wound management/tissue viability, equivalent to diploma level.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and experience of working within a team.
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week. A UK driving license and car ownership are essential for this role.
