Welder Specialist

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Welder Specialist to join our team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading defence company and develop your career in welding.

The successful candidate will be responsible for welding different materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. They will use various techniques, such as manual metal arc, metal active gas, metal inert gas, automatic, and semi-automatic machine welding, as well as resistance welding. The role involves welding butts and fillets to a high standard and ensuring that all welds meet the required quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Modern Apprenticeship certificate and experience in welding and using associated equipment. You should also have knowledge of ceramic tile welding and flux core arc welding. Additionally, you will need to be able to deposit welds that pass both visual and NDE examinations.
