Financial Crime Lead Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Crime Lead Analyst to join our team at Vanquis Banking Group. As a key member of our Financial Crime Team, you will be responsible for managing the design, creation, and production of financial crime management information (MI), leading the development and maintenance of insights and reporting data for internal as well as regulatory reporting uses.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough analysis of data for accuracy, completeness, and relevance, and cleanse data as necessary to ensure it meets operational standards.
- Create and deliver regular and ad hoc financial crime MI reports and develop insights through profiling and demographics analysis.
- Support and enhance the effectiveness of the Group's surveillance technology, including tuning, designing controls, and managing vendor relationships.
- Lead and support projects impacting surveillance technology, ensuring compliance with Financial Crime obligations and providing guidance for strategic changes.
- Apply independent analysis and forecasting to assist management in decision-making, and develop and refine budgeting and forecasting models for deposit-taking functions.
- Define requirements and deliver management information reports that are integral to internal MI and external regulatory reporting, and produce and reconcile statistics for regulatory reports.
- Reporting systems experience, preferably Power BI.
- Coding experience, preferably SAS and SQL.
- Ability to solve complex problems and operate independently and objectively.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capability, and highly numerate with strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex factual and qualitative information to filter and prioritise decisions.
