We are seeking a skilled Trainer for Automotive Technicians to join our team in Lyneham, Wiltshire. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical courses to military students at our REME site.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle technology, a City & Guilds Part 3/NVQ L3 or equivalent qualification, and a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Mechanic. You will be required to prepare training materials, maintain a CPD portfolio, review course content, assess trainees, and ensure trainee development through monitoring and feedback.

The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, and based on site in Lyneham. A competitive salary of £34,000 - £37,000, depending on experience, plus benefits, is on offer. The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Preparing relevant training material, collaborating with the Media and Graphics Department where necessary">
  • Maintaining a Continuous Personal Development (CPD) portfolio in respect of new technologies and equipment">
  • Reviewing course material and content to ensure it is current and evolves to support equipment and technology advances">
  • Assessing trainees, including creation of written examinations and progress test papers, practical assessment/scenario creation, and continuous assessments">
  • Ensuring trainee development through monitoring, feedback appraisal, discipline, and training interventions">
