We are seeking an experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Technician to join our team at Auto Skills UK. As a HGV Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the maintenance and diagnosis of vehicles to the highest standards.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in HGV maintenance and diagnostics, with a proven track record of working on a variety of vehicle types. You will be responsible for carrying out routine vehicle maintenance to DVSA standards, diagnosing complex issues, and maintaining accurate records.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working 4 on 4 off shifts. The salary for this role is £44,044 per annum, plus an overtime allowance of £50,000 per annum. In addition to your salary, you will receive a range of benefits, including access to ongoing training and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Routine vehicle maintenance to DVSA standards
  • Diagnosing complex vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team to ensure efficient and effective vehicle maintenance
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g. automotive engineering, mechanical engineering)
  • An HGV licence
  • Prior commercial experience in a dealership or fleet maintenance environment
