Main Responsibilities
  • Develop Frontend Applications using NextJS, React, and other cutting-edge technologies.
  • Design and implement Backend applications using NodeJS in a serverless architecture.
  • Champion Communities of practice and development standards across our development team.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as retrospectives, sprint planning, and stand-ups.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create innovative solutions for our growing tech stack.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business, both technical and non-technical.
  • Coach and mentor more junior members of the team.
Required Experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and as part of a wider team.
  • Ability to design solutions and cater for non-functional requirements such as performance and security.
Significant Commercial Experience
  • Development using JavaScript libraries and frameworks, with a preference for React.
  • Development of serverless applications, preferably using NodeJS.
  • Development of REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
  • PostgreSQL and PGAdmin experience, or similar relational database experience.
  • Working in a DevOps environment, containerising, deploying, scaling applications, and microservices using CI/CD pipelines.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience working in the Insurance sector or other highly regulated sectors.
  • Experience with Salesforce Integration.

Please note that this is a hybrid role, requiring on-site work in Cardiff for days per week.
