Job Type: Full-time, Fixed Term Contract
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Complex Care Support Worker to join our team in providing specialist care to a child with complex needs. The successful candidate will work as part of a small care team in a family home setting, taking direction from the child's mother, case manager, and team leader to ensure the child receives all the care they need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to the child, including PEG feeding, suctioning, and medication administration
- Assist with the child's mobility using hoisting equipment and assist with all therapies
- Monitor and record the child's health status and observations
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure the child's needs are met
Requirements:
- Experience of working with children with complex needs, including epilepsy and PEG feeding
- Ability to work with specialist equipment and follow a Handling Management Plan
- Confident and compassionate approach to working with children and families
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including waking nights
