The Role

We are seeking a skilled Finishing Foreman to manage a small team and undertake a range of building maintenance work at Fortem Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for deputizing for the Supervisor, carrying out supervisory duties, and ensuring work is undertaken safely and in accordance with technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputize for the Supervisor and carry out supervisory duties when required
  • Take control of large jobs on a site where more than one trade is required
  • Undertake mandatory Health and Safety Inspections for ad hoc and Work in Progress
  • Ensure work is undertaken safely and in accordance with all technical standards
  • Communicate effectively with tenants
  • Stewardship of plant, equipment, and materials
  • Work safely and in compliance with Fortem Health & Safety requirements
  • Take ownership of work and aim for 'First Time Fix' on all jobs
  • Develop excellent individual and team working relationships
  • Remain up to date with technical and legal requirements of the skill area

Essential and Desirable Criteria:

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail for supervisory paperwork
  • Experience of Health and Safety inspections
  • NVQ/qualifications in relation to relevant trade
  • Full UK driving License
  • Ability to fully engage with all levels of employees
