Animal Management Specialist

The British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) is seeking a skilled individual to join our team as an Animal Management Specialist. This role provides technical animal welfare support to the Animal Management curriculum team, involving the handling of mammals, invertebrates, and reptiles in our college animal collection.
Job Description:In this position, you will provide technical animal welfare support, handle animals including mammals, invertebrates, and reptiles, and participate in relevant training and updates. Key responsibilities include:

- Participating in training and updates
A key aspect of this role is ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with the Animal Management curriculum team to achieve these goals.
The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly and maintain accurate records of animal handling, care, and management activities.
