About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-paced team at BAM Nuttall. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set a high personal example of safety and environmental behavior, promoting a culture of excellence and compliance.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and development.
  • Monitor work progress, identifying and addressing any potential safety or environmental risks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients, designers, and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Advise engineers on setting out methods and techniques, ensuring accurate and efficient execution of projects.
  • Ensure that 3D information drawings and specification documents contain sufficient and accurate information for construction, and formally request any missing information.
  • Communicate with foremen and gangers to ensure full understanding of information provided, and confirm in writing any verbal instructions received from clients or stakeholders.
  • Arrange formal checking of setting out, and ensure check request forms are completed.
  • Ensure reasonable survey book standards and daily diaries are maintained by engineers, and that inspection and test plans are completed and digitally recorded.
  • Prepare 4-weekly programmes in conjunction with section foremen, and monitor progress for review at weekly site review meetings.
  • Prepare written risk assessments and method statements for the control of works, and keep a full and accurate daily site diary.
  • Carry out material take-off and requisitions as requested by sub-agents or agents, and ensure all delivery tickets are cost-coded and passed to the finance team for processing.
  • Ensure that testing and sampling of materials is carried out as required by the specification.
Requirements
  • Qualified to ICE Technician or Incorporated level or equivalent.
  • Successful experience at site engineer level.
  • Government legislation on all matters relating to safety and environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction procedures and working methods.
