As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing reactive and preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment. The successful candidate will need to resolve breakdowns, reduce downtime, improve plant reliability, support the wider internal team to solve problems, be prepared to work in a cold environment (all required PPE will be provided), and at times work at heights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Resolve breakdowns and minimize downtime to maintain production efficiency
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures
  • Collaborate with the internal team to troubleshoot complex problems and implement solutions
  • Work in a cold environment and at heights, adhering to all safety protocols

Requirements:

  • Electrically qualified NVQ Level 3 or equivalent with mechanical experience
  • Experience working with automation and PLCs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
  • Willingness to learn and improve your skillset
  • Ability to drive and travel to site
  • Ability to work at height and in a cold environment
  • Flexibility to work a continental shift pattern of 2 days followed by 2 nights on a 4 on 4 off rotation
