We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to join our team at ZeroAvia. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of our hydrogen-electric powertrains.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the modification and integration of prototype aircraft, including mechanical and electrical systems.
- Perform regular inspections, maintenance, repairs, and servicing of CS23 aircraft.
- Conduct quality control and inspection of components and installation work.
- Provide solutions to practical problems involving the integration of the powertrain and its effects on associated components and subsystems.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with manufacturer-approved maintenance data and internal company procedures.
- Assist in manufacturing and assembling components for testing.
- Support fabrication work required by the internal design team.
- Ensure proper execution of parts tags attached to repairable, serviceable, or condemned parts.
- Ensure health and safety procedures and COSHH are always observed.
- Maintain a high standard of day-to-day housekeeping.
- Control and maintain company tooling and parts.
- Proven industry experience in relevant aircraft components' installation or maintenance (powertrain and engines preferred).
- Relevant NVQ, comparable qualification, or recognised military apprenticeship.
- At least 3 years of experience within aviation maintenance or aircraft modifications.
- Relevant engineering degree and/or aircraft maintenance work experience.
- Direct hands-on experience in sheet metal repairs and modifications.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Flexible approach to work and a high level of drive and ambition to help achieve the organisation's goals.
- Genuine passion for clean technology and the future of sustainable aviation.
- Ability to modify parts using tools or in a machine shop.
- Skilled in a range of IT and software packages.
- Expertise in carrying out major modifications.
- Knowledge of Part-145 practices.
- Knowledge of Part-21J and Part-21G organisations.
