Child Welfare Coordinator

Job Overview:

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a highly motivated Child Welfare Coordinator to join their team. As a Child Welfare Coordinator, you will work with families and carers to provide assistance and direct support in the community. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently within the legislative framework and council procedures.

You will be responsible for providing support and guidance to families and children while promoting quality service delivery and continuous improvement. A fixed-term contract is available, but the duration exceeds 31 January 2026.

This position involves regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. As such, the preferred candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. In some cases, an Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required.

A minimum of two professional references are required for this position, including your current or most recent employer. The estimated annual salary for this role is £28,000 - £38,000.
