Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our client's team. As a key member of the warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our inventory management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process incoming goods, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory updates.
  • Organize and maintain stock items, utilizing software to track locations and quantities.
  • Ensure proper order of raw materials, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
  • Pick and assemble orders efficiently, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Conduct regular stock counts to maintain inventory accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Operate counterbalance forklift trucks, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment, with a valid license preferred but not essential.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless warehouse operations.
  • Uphold GMP and health & safety standards at all times, handling hazardous materials safely and in compliance with regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' continuous work history, with gaps of up to 30 days requiring a character reference and longer gaps necessitating proof of income.
  • Possession of a reach truck or counterbalance license is beneficial but not essential.
  • Proven experience in a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of GMP and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
  • Physical fitness for heavy lifting and demanding tasks, with a focus on maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits:

  • A competitive salary range of £24,000 to £26,000.
  • Stable working hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
