Job Title: Senior Solicitor - Adult Social Care Law Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solicitor to join our Legal Services team at Sheffield City Council. As a Senior Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing authoritative advice to Council officers and members, ensuring that decisions are lawful and compliant with relevant legislation.

The successful candidate will have a recognized legal qualification (Solicitor, Barrister, or FCILEX) and a strong understanding of legal case management systems and processes. You will also have technical knowledge in the specialist area of Adult Social Care law, including the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

As a Senior Lawyer, you will manage a small but busy team of legal professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective delivery of legal services. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide authoritative advice to Council officers and members on Adult Social Care law

Requirements:
