Job Summary

We're seeking a dynamic Fiber Test Technician to join our team in Romsey. As a key member of our team, you'll work on test processes for novel optical fibers, including uniformity and advanced characterization testing. You'll operate specialist manufacturing and test equipment, meeting production test targets to support the scaling up of our new fabrication facility.

Responsibilities
  • Perform test processes to defined specs, working with engineers, shift leads, and lab managers to ensure accurate results.
  • Validate manufacturing equipment operation, working with shift leaders and engineers to identify and resolve issues.
  • Conduct manufacturing quality inspections, documenting process outcomes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Record manufacturing data, driving basic analyses to identify bugs, defects, or failure rates.
  • Document daily progress, recording manufacturing throughput and linking to supporting documents.
Requirements
  • Relevant technical engineering experience or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
