Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a talented Procurement Specialist to join our team at Ontic's office in Staverton, Gloucestershire. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our continued success and ambitious growth plans.

Your primary responsibilities will include supervising the day-to-day operations of the procurement team, ensuring alignment with achievement of company key results. You will be responsible for the overall strategy, performance, and risk management for your segment of the supply chain.

Key areas of focus will include developing and driving strategy, partnering with legal and contract teams to negotiate contract solutions that support business KPIs and mitigate supply risk. Additionally, you will develop the supplier base through performance monitoring, improvement plans, and supplier risk mitigation plans.

A strong background in commodity management, procurement management, or senior technical buying roles is required for this position. Experience from an aerospace background is preferred but not essential. We welcome applications from individuals with experience in manufacturing, service, or maintenance businesses.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to present identified solutions for stakeholder approval. They must be confident in making decisions and possess organizational skills. This position requires travel to suppliers nationally and internationally.
