Job Overview

This position requires an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a compassionate school community where trust-building and nurturing confidence in children is paramount.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with children with SEMH needs, possessing strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish connections with young, vulnerable pupils.

We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families to create personalized learning plans that best meet each child's needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to pupils with additional needs, adapting your approach to address their emotional, social, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
  • Maintain awareness of safeguarding procedures and protocols at all times.

In return for your dedication and expertise, you can expect a competitive salary of approximately £25,000 per annum.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN/SEMH.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to support the changing needs of pupils.

Please note that Team Teach or PRICE training would be advantageous, although willingness to attend training is also acceptable.
