Whittington Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a Band 7 Community Rehab Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to children and young people with additional needs and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide occupational therapy services to children and young people with additional needs and disabilities, including those with Autism, Developmental Co-ordination Disorder, and sensory and physical disabilities.
- Work with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams to identify goals and develop care plans.
- Conduct assessments and implement interventions to promote occupational performance and participation.
- Collaborate with schools and other agencies to provide support and guidance to children and young people.
- Supervise and appraise junior staff, including occupational therapy assistants and students.
- Participate in service reviews and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration.
- Experience of working with children with additional needs and disabilities.
- Specialist knowledge of Autism, Developmental Co-ordination Disorder, and other conditions relevant to the school-aged population.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
