Thorn Baker Group is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join their team. As a key member of the HSEQ team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the company's health and safety strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure effective health and safety management
  • Attend health and safety meetings and provide expert advice
  • Support site teams in implementing safe systems of work and conducting regular workplace inspections
  • Review and advise on safe start meetings and day-to-day health and safety activities
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a busy site-based health and safety role within the construction industry
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of working with clients and stakeholders
  • Technical knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry standards
  • IT literacy and proficient report-writing skills

Desirable Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Construction or equivalent
  • First aid training
