This role is part of the Community & Partnerships team, offering a salary range of £52,628-£63,731 depending on experience.

About the Role

This is a strategic leadership position requiring strong leadership skills to deliver on shared commitments outlined in our new VCS Strategy.

Key responsibilities include leading the implementation of a new Voluntary Sector and Civil Society Strategy, mobilising and managing a new voluntary sector infrastructure support service, and developing a high-profile engagement plan.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and central government policy relating to the voluntary and community sector.
  • Develop a deep understanding of issues and best practices in the voluntary and community sector.
  • Successfully manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Effectively commission, procure, and manage contracts for services.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong working knowledge of the voluntary sector's challenges and direct or transferable skills to lead projects through governance systems.

Familiarity with co-production principles and project management expertise are highly valued.

A confident communicator, effective team player, and flexible worker who can translate complex issues into clear messages are essential qualities for this position.
