We are seeking a permanent part-time Life Skills Support Worker to join our team at McKim Cottage in Nelson, B.C.

Competitive salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Job

This role is part of a multi-disciplinary Mental Health and Addictions Team providing comprehensive services within a psycho-social rehabilitation framework to adults with serious and persistent mental illness and/or within a harm reduction framework for those with substance use problems/disorders and who experience severe challenges in daily living as a result.

The successful candidate will provide direct care such as supportive counseling, risk assessment, and crisis intervention for individuals or groups who experience severe challenges in daily living as a result of their mental illness and/or substance use problems/disorders. They will participate in the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of a treatment plan via an outreach methodology for assigned clients. Additionally, they will participate in team clinical reviews and consultation, psychiatric reviews, and the monitoring of clients.

Scheduling Information:

The shifts for this position are days, evenings, and nights from 07:00 to 16:00, 11:00 to 21:00, and 21:00 to 07:00 hours.
