Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Design Engineer to lead our design team in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients. As a key member of our Asset Management and Technical Services business platform, you will be responsible for managing projects from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.

Key duties will include:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients to understand their specific needs and requirements.
  • Leading the development of bids and proposals for new projects or strategic frameworks, working closely with our Delivery Management teams.
  • Coordinating the planning and implementation of projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Line managing and developing assigned EICA staff within your team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Providing technical guidance on EICA matters to the wider project team and Senior Management, ensuring consistency and compliance with company standards.
  • Contributing to the development of EICA design deliverables, working closely with your team to drive innovative solutions.
  • Supporting the company's journey towards Net Zero, identifying opportunities to reduce carbon emissions and improve sustainability.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with professional registration with IET, InstMC or similar (IEng, CEng).
  • Proven experience in project development, design, construction, and commissioning, with a strong understanding of British and European design standards.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and demands.
  • A passion for innovation and sustainability, with a commitment to driving positive change.
