Pattern Maker

We are seeking a skilled Pattern Maker to join our team at the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. As a key member of our Pattern Shop, you will be responsible for preparing tooling block stock for CNC machining, hand finishing and surfacing epoxy tooling block patterns and moulds, and maintaining ERP system entries to track work and progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing tooling block stock for CNC machining, including cutting and bonding.
• Hand finishing and surfacing epoxy tooling block patterns and moulds post machining.
• De-tagging and packaging Rohacell and Composite Machined inserts.
• Maintaining ERP system entries to accurately track work and progress.
• Adhering to strict quality control processes.
• Working to a tight schedule to ensure delivery timeframes are met.
• Assisting with other areas of the department as required.
• Communicating with colleagues within the Pattern Shop and other departments.
• Successfully meeting challenging and demanding deadlines.

About the Role:

This is a late shift role, working 17:00 – 3:30 Tues-Fri inclusive. The successful candidate will have previous experience within a Pattern Shop environment, hand finishing epoxy tooling block patterns and moulds to a high standard. They will also have experience of preparing stock prior to machining, including cutting and bonding to specific requirements.
