About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our multidisciplinary team in delivering exceptional mental health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Attend morning handovers and participate in ward rounds
- Assess referrals and determine suitability for admission
- Undertake investigations, diagnosis, and treatment as required
- Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement work
- Chair and oversee CPA reviews
- Lead the implementation of risk assessment and risk management
- Participate in clinical governance and ensure implementation of policies and protocols
- Work with external agencies and write reports as necessary
Requirements
- Full GMC registration
- MRCPsych or equivalent
- Specialty Register for Forensic Psychiatry or General Psychiatry with forensic experience
- Ability to lead and work within multidisciplinary teams
- Good CPD standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and recent appraisal
- AC and Section 12 (2) approval
