About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Nurse to join our Day Surgery Unit team at our clients Acute Hospital site in Bath, Somerset.
The unit primarily conducts elective minor surgery, and this is a full-time permanent position. However, we are open to considering part-time hours opportunities for candidates who wish to negotiate.
This award-winning hospital is led by some of the South West's most experienced consultants, supported by 24/7 RMO cover on-site. The hospital has received an outstanding rating for its caring services.
Unique Centre of Excellence
This centre was a long-established independent sector hospital acquired by the NHS in June 2021. The hospital features 28 en-suite single inpatient beds, 22 day-case beds, and 5 ambulatory care beds.
Our facilities include:
- 9 consulting rooms
- 4 state-of-the-art operating theatres (2 with laminar flow)
- A JAG-accredited Endoscopy suite
- A dedicated cardiology suite and intervention treatment room
- A dedicated physiotherapy department with a gym and four treatment rooms
- A Digital diagnostic unit with CT, MRI, General X-ray, and Ultrasound
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must possess NMC registration as a Registered Nurse and have current or recent experience in Day Surgery/Surgical Ward settings.
Newly qualified Nurses with surgical ward placement in their final year are also welcome to apply, provided they have a desire to develop further in a Day Surgery/Day Procedure Unit setting.
