Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting materials to designated sites in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Class 1 tramper vehicle to transport materials to designated sites.
  • Ensure loads are safely and securely transported, adhering to legal load limits.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance issues.
  • Safely operate tipping mechanisms to unload materials at delivery sites.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time of departure and arrival, and any issues encountered.
  • Adhere to all driving regulations, including tachograph and drivers hours rules.
  • Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
Requirements
  • Valid HGV Class 1 driving license.
  • Valid MPQC card.
  • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
  • Digital tachograph card.
  • Proven experience as an HGV Class 1 driver, with specific experience operating tramper trucks preferred.
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and legal load limits.
  • Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and manoeuvring heavy loads.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
